So the past 2 years I haven’t updated the blog much.  We’ve been really busy and I haven’t had the time, however I plan to make it a point to keep this updated.  In 2015 we saw many new events, accomplishments and challenges!  From Discovery America, to President George W. Bush and then some.  BNP had to overcome obstacles  we’ve had not faced until now.  We did however come out strong on the other side.  We learned many important things, as well as grew our client base and let the coast know we’re here to stay.

Our new RCF line array was put to use at several large outdoor events and I’m pleased to say it performed exceptionally.  We can not wait to see how we can apply it’s many different uses to 2016 events.  IMG_2656

The end of 2015 brought on new areas BNP has never worked on before.  BNP is now the “Technical Director” of the Hancock County Performing Arts Center located on Stennis Airport Drive by Hancock High School.  A state of the art facility with applications for all types of events.  12308673_1191046470924984_4001338453809817046_n
Owner/Operator Aaron Lee has also take a position as FOH engineer for the New Orleans Band MoJeaux!  This is a big step for not only Aaron himself but BNP as well.  This opportunity has the potential to open up so many more markets in the future.  MoJEAUX

In 2016 BNP plans to not only continue serving our great clients and community but also welcome new adventures at the same time.  Providing on the best customer service and quality possible to all of clients.  Be on the look out for BNP crews working in your area stop by and say hello they would love to talk with you.  Have a safe and happy 2016!

Try to stay on top of our blog… This past Weds on Sept 11th we were honored to be a part of the Reef Pac party.  The event was hosted by David Baria and featured Cary Hudson and Mac Macanally.  We provided some room lighting

the stage and sound system for the event.  It was an intimate night we good food and great entertainment.  I’ll keep this post short and sweet and let the panorama pics do the talking.

July was no slouch starting with the Fourth of July Weekend.  We worked with Wayne Toups and Ryan Foret in Baton Rouge with a stage on the River Levee (first for everything)  Then we went on to The OLG Crab Festival in Bay St. Louis where we met Mr. Toups again as well as The Chee Weez, Ross Grisham and The BuckTown All Stars…  We continued on into July with Gospel Palooza in Bay St. Louis which led us into August.

What can we say.  Another Great Pelican Events and Big Noise Productions combination.  The Crowd was amazing, the food delicious, the bands energetic, the weather beautiful.  Phil Smooth Williams started the day off with some great down home blues, the Grady Champion from Canton MS, wow’d the crowd with this soulful vocals and crowd interaction.  As always Rockin Dopsie had the crowd moving the rest of the night with Zydeco and Blues that could be heard for miles.  This is the events second year and it’s already growing into one of South MS biggest and best events on the coast!

Once again we went to New Orleans to help our friends The Sound Source at a 3 day festival.  The Terrytown Festival featured 2 dueling stages provided by Pelican Events…  Bag of Donuts, Mojeaux, and many more entertained the crowd all weekend despite the weather.  The Legendary Irma Thomas with her soulful voice mesmerized the crowd on Saturday night.  She was a pleasure to work with as well as listen to.  Another great TSS event proud to be working with these guy…8910_601548463208124_1882983679_n 221673_601439403219030_1855494263_n 261378_602394896456814_1652660214_n 426415_601999703163000_529390821_n 562214_601594536536850_695757259_n 577558_602029963159974_521373709_n

I had the privilege of helping Tim Killbride and The Sound Source this past weekend with their Superbowl activities.    It was a never ending Thursday from one venue to the next, I was tired worn out but I loved every minute of it.  (Something must be wrong with me)  We turned an old gym still under construction into a corporate meeting place full of projector mapping, lighting, PA and HD power point.  From there it was onto the Howlin’ Wolf to transform this popular venue into the Coors Light Super Cold Superbowl Party with the Rebirth Brass band and Ice Cube.  It was Friday and I so had the urge to go up to him and say “It’s Friday Craig!” but I contained myself.  A long 24hrs later we’re back at the shop gearing up for the Giving Back party with Jordin Sparks and some nice cars.  I mean OMG! I didn’t want to breathe around them.  Overall a great 4 days I learned a few things, traffic wasn’t bad, not to many issues for the amount of thing happening.  Can’t wait for the next time…. NO we didn’t turn the lights off in the dome for the 100th time.

Note:  I hate pipe and drape.

So I’ve been a little behind on updating the blog here……

On Dec 15, 2012 BNP turned the Depot District of Bay St. Louis, MS into a winter wonderland.  We had lighting on the ice rink with moving snowflakes, made the Depot building glow blue, and had a grand concert with Vince Vance and the Valiants on the Silver Slipper Stage.  I’ll keep this post short and let the pictures do the talking.  The overall success of the event was tremendous a steady flow of people great food and good music.  Put on by the Main Street of Bay ST. Louis and the Tourism Commission as well as countless others who volunteered and contributed to the event.

BNP working with Daniel Lozada of Gulf South Productions transformed the BSL Depot District

This past weekend BNP as always provided production for The 100 Men Hall show.  This time it was Pocket Tyme with Cornell Williams and Big D Perkins.  This was the grooviest, funkiest band I’d heard in a long long time.  While the show went as usual the band had hired a professional film crew to do some promo work for them.  ABIS Productions setup and videoed the entire night and we provided them with the audio.  We utilized the Presonus Studiolive 24.4.2 console and tracked each instrument individually for better post processing.  The result was amazing.  Check out the videos and links below.

Come check out a Hall show, show some support for ABIS and BNP and help spread the word!

BNP got the call once again to assist The Sound Source for a weekend.  We headed over to METREE for the St. Clement of Rome Oyster Festival.  What a weekend.  First off FOH is right by Dragos booth so we get to smell all this wonderful cooking all weekend.  Second great bands each night.  Friday night Bag of Donuts, Saturday The Chee Weez and Sunday The Topcats (seems like we’re seeing these guys alot)  Weather was great all weekend not too cold, Friday night BOD hit the stage and were rocking as always.  Saturday The Chee Wheez killed it as well.  Now before we go on I need to mention Saturday the opening band was phenomenal  The NOLA Treblemakers;  If you need a band for an event these guys put on a show.  Rockabilly music for 2 hours straight with a great stage presence.  Outstanding job guys!!!  Got to meet some new people that weekend and make new friends and even learned a few tricks from Brian and Danny 🙂 Can’t wait for next year!

I say once again we got the call because a few weeks prior to that we were doing another festival for The Sound Source.  St. Matthews Family Fair, with The Topcats (these guys again lol)  Five Finger Discount and an upcoming band highlight on Sunday.  The weekend went great and again awesome food.  I’m learning something about these LA festivals, they know good food is key.
The past few posts have been short because I’ve been super busy.  Just trying to catch ya’ll up on what BNP has been up too the past couple months.  I’ll try to stay on top of it better next time!  🙂
